Purple Care stays close its roots in the Fort Worth area. Our friendly, knowledgeable team is invested in making this the best, most beautiful community in north Texas. Meet the team that’s making it happen.
Justin Berg has served as President of Purple Care since 2012. As such, he provides vision and leadership for the company. His passion is continuously striving to create the best environment around him for people and the planet using sustainable methods. Justin was born and raised on a small farm in rural Minnesota. He attended the University of North Dakota on a wrestling scholarship and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. After graduation, he and his wife JoDee moved to Minneapolis to start their careers. Justin started out working for Union Corp, but this would be the only time he would work for a company that wasn’t his own. In 2004, he started his own company, which he successfully grew to over $6 million in revenue over the course of five years. Justin sold that company and moved to Texas, where he relocated with his entire immediate family (mother, father, sister and mother and father in law). Today, Justin lives with his beautiful wife JoDee and their three amazing sons in Azle, Texas. If Justin was a plant, he would be echinacea. He is a protector with an amazing blend of optimism, nurturing, and goodwill. He lends his strength and energy to those in need. His goodwill and boundless supportive energy make him the person people turn to when times are tough.
Founding partner Wayne Buchanan started the company in 1993. Today, he oversees the lawn treatment division of Purple Care. He is constantly working with experts in our industry to improve our programs, and he creates the weed control and fertilization programs we use in the field. Wayne lives with his family in Azle, on the same property where he grew up. He has been married to his wife Emily for over 25 years and they have 3 boys. When Wayne isn’t working, he loves bass fishing, hanging out with his wife and doing anything with his boys. If Wayne was a flower, he would be one known for being tough and tenacious: the daylily. Daylilies prosper in inhospitable environments and have an uncanny tolerance for a variety of soil and light conditions. Their secret to enduring adversity lies in the botanical adaptability of their flowers and roots.
Change doesn’t always happen with a bang. Sometimes it starts with a small team in a small town making small changes until the big one is realized. Meet the people planting those seeds.

Ronnie’s back ground in sales began in 1996, and he also led a sales team for medical equipment before joining Purple Care. He enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Humor is his escape and loves clearing thick air with a joke or two. He was always a dare-devil as a child and loved doing flips and was a competitive cheerleader for 5 years through high school and college. His main goal in cheerleading was to stay active, challenge himself and maintain a college scholarship. LANDSCAPE DESIGNER/ACCOUNT MANAGER
Kendall Hammond became a Landscape Designer/Account Manager with Purple Care in 2018. During his first year with the company, he met with customers and designed their landscapes using his plant and environmental knowledge to ensure growth vitality. When not meeting new clients, he manages current client accounts and addresses the needs of each; from seasonal planting to re-designing or updating their current landscapes. Kendall has a Bachelor of Science degree and two years of Post Graduate work. He enjoys traveling and spending time in different places and different cultures. He also enjoys meeting new people which his profession demands and being able to help others make their property more beautiful is his ultimate gratification. The plant Kendall most identifies with is the whale tongue agave. It is much more hardy than your typical agave in cold weather but has acclimated to the Texas climate very well. Being someone who was raised up north but has lived in Texas for the last 10 years, he certainly has had to get used to the Texas summers and intense cycles of heat.

McCall Fuller joined Purple Care in 2018 as a Customer Service representative. She is pleasant and caring to each individual client, particularly during times of high-volume phone calls and client issues. Her commitment to customer satisfaction is a high priority. She loves being an aunt (it’s one of her most valued titles). McCall was born and raised in Utah where she served on the city council and owned a couple of businesses, until her husband was transferred to Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafting, sewing, re-purposing furniture, & interior design. She volunteers in her church and has the best neighbors in Texas. If she could be any tree she would be a quaking aspen. Their leaves tremble and shimmer in the breeze, singing the most beautiful tune. They grow in clone stands, like a family. Some are tall, short, wide, and skinny, but no matter what, they always stick together. The best part is they are a great tree to carve your name in.
Sarah Whitehead joined the Customer Service team with Purple Care in 2018 and has been in a customer support role since 2008. She enjoys talking with people and building rapport, which will help her succeed as a Customer Service Representative. Her bubbly personality shines when she is doing what she loves. Her dream is to visit all 50 states in one month! Sarah’s personal hobby is bowling in her league every Thursday night. She is also into fishing, camping and anything outdoors. If she could be a flower, she would be a Hibiscus flower because it means the perfect wife or woman. She says, “I am by no means ‘perfect’, but I try to be the best I can be for my family”. The flower is also beautiful in every aspect of their appearance, from the sprout of the bud to the leaves falling from wilting.
